SANKALPA: on setting your intention for practice
/I get this question a lot, some variation of:
“I don’t know what my intention is”, or
“how do I set an intention for my practice?” or even
“how do I set my intention for the day?”
So if you're wondering the same thing, consider this alternative version of the same inquiry:
💎 what are you looking to get out of your practice today?
(some examples: inner peace, focus, de-stressing, strength, connection to source, steady deeper breaths?)
💎 what are you looking to create from this day?
from this moment, this encounter, this connection, this evening... life.. etc...
When you approach life (or practice) this way, you become the *source* of that which you’re looking for, right away. Your intention to look for the thing, allows you to find and become the thing. Your consciousness has the power to shape your entire reality.
I hope this helps, and that you begin to practice intentionality on your mat and in your day-to-day activities, relationships and settings.

Please know that your practice is a great service to your deepest wellbeing, and to the wellbeing of all sentient beings visible, non-visible, and beyond.
